Paid by Fran Nachlas for Boca Raton Mayor.

Longtime community leader and resident advocate Fran Nachlas has officially filed to run for Mayor of Boca Raton. Fran, whose service to the Boca Raton community has spanned more than three decades, currently serves as Deputy Mayor and has previously chaired the Boca Raton Community Redevelopment Agency and served on the Boca Raton Community Advisory Panel. The election will take place on March 10, 2026 and is an open seat, as Mayor Scott Singer is term-limited.

“We can lead, or we can fall behind – as Boca Raton’s next mayor, I will be leading and taking the tough decisions head-on,” said Nachlas. “Innovation and common-sense decisions are the hallmarks of my public service, and we are going to keep Boca Raton safe, secure, resident-focused, and an economic powerhouse under my administration.”

In addition to her roles within the City of Boca Raton, Nachlas currently serves on the Palm Beach County Transportation Planning Agency governing board and the Florida League of Cities Development, Code Compliance and Redevelopment Committee. She was also selected as one of just 14 individuals nationwide to join the prestigious Champions Institute Smart Growth America Cohort.

“Keeping our local economy energized, making City Hall even more efficient, and making smart choices to address traffic and infrastructure needs will be key responsibilities for Boca Raton’s next mayor,” Nachlas added. “I’m not afraid to shake things up to get things done.”
